“Drawing inspiration from everyday life and nature itself.”

Irina’s paintings are quiet and easy to live with, like family members or old friends: present when you need them, yet quietly existing in the background when you do not. They are not loud, but in life it is often the quiet voices that are the most compelling.

Born in Russia, she lived in the UK before moving to Singapore in 2017. She has received a formal training at art school in Russia, but her young family and work commitments meant that she had a long break before picking up her brushes again.

While most of Irina’s work is representational, she has recently grown dissatisfied with portraying purely realistic forms. She is now seeking to shift her practice towards a more refined balance between abstraction and representation. Her subject matter covers a wide range from still lifes and landscapes to portraiture and life drawing sketches. She prefers oils to other mediums for its versatility in application but also enjoys acrylics, gouache, charcoal and ink.

Irina exhibits regularly in Singapore and abroad (50+ art fairs and shows in the last 5 years) and her works are now in private collections in the US, Europe, the UK, Russia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
