“Drawing inspiration from everyday life and nature itself.”
Irina is a Russian-born British artist. She and her family has moved to Singapore from London over eight years ago. She has received a formal training at art school in Russia, but her young family and work commitments meant that she had a long break before picking up her brushes again. To blow away the initial cobwebs, she attended a series of short courses at LASALLE and NAFA and is now an active member of some of Singapore’s life figure/portrait drawing groups to keep her eyes sharp.
Irina enjoys painting from life and observing the light and colour in objects and nature. While most of her paintings are rendered in representational manner, recently she has been exploring abstracting still lifes and landscapes.
Irina’s work appeals to sophisticated, culturally engaged collectors, seeking art that captures the poetry of everyday life. Her paintings speak to those who value quiet reflection, atmospheric storytelling, and a deep connection to a place.
Irina exhibits regularly in Singapore and abroad (45+ art fairs and shows in the last 4 years) and her works are now in private collections in the US, Europe, the UK, Russia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
